Development and design
Its BMP-3-based launcher vehicle carries a retractable twin launcher and internal missile magazine. Dual guidance options—radar and laser—are intended to improve engagement flexibility in poor visibility and against countermeasures. 1, 2
Operational use
The system entered Russian service in the 2000s and includes launcher and command variants. It is built for specialist antitank units rather than for the troop-carrying role of the BMP chassis from which it derives. 1, 2
